Actually, this has happened to me at every party I've been to here - at some point, the host, rather drunk, attempts to have a serious philosophical conversation that could easily be titled, "What you should know about Russia today." All the women tell him not to harass me, he insists he's not harassing and this is very important. And I never really understand what it is they're getting at, although I can understand what they're saying.
